Senior Financial / Business Controller
Lumion is looking for a senior financial generalist who can support our business from an accounting, controlling, reporting, modeling, and forecasting perspective. Someone who is analytical and strong in implementing budgeting processes, and is able to advise our leadership team on a wide area of financial topics. Your role:
The Senior Financial Controller plays an important role in creating transparency in the business drivers and works as a key stakeholder, especially to our CEO, but also the broader organization. As our Senior Financial / Business Controller, you have an analytical mindset and are used to performing under pressure and meeting deadlines. You have a proven track record showing you are able to manage a lot of different topics at the same time. Since you are a seasoned financial specialist, you have good business acumen from prior roles. You have ample experience with defining and implementing operational processes that you can link to the financial performance of the business.
What you'll be doing:
The main tasks in this role will be:
Responsible for monthly management and financial reporting, and in charge of optimization of the reporting, processes, and guidelines leading to efficiency and effectiveness improvements;
Taking care of modeling for forecasting and analyzing the KPIs driving our business as the basis for making sound management decisions;
Analysis with respect to product profitability (allocation of costs to different revenue categories);
Control capex and support the capex decision process;
Taking the lead in the budgeting process and coaching the management in implementing this process in our organization;
Acting as a business partner for the different Business Owners, advising on a wide variety of financial and tax-related topics;
Follow up on the realization of synergies and other value-adding plans within the company;
Prepare business cases in collaboration with the Business Owners;
Integration of newly acquired/established companies in the near future, especially with regard to reporting.
What you bring:
Minimum BA, but preferably a Masters degree in Economics, Business Management, Accounting, or a related field;
At least 8-10 years of experience in finance, min. 3 years experience in a senior role;
Able to translate complex information in a structured and comprehensive format;
Highly skilled in Excel modeling and experience with business information tools;
Good communication skills, able to communicate at all levels of the organization
Ability to lead a (small) finance team in the near future;
Ability to work well under pressure in a demanding environment;
An open-minded spirit able to maintain good relationships in an international environment;
Strong analytical skills, self-driven, and ambitious;
Fluent in English and Dutch, with in-depth knowledge of the Netherlands accounting (GAAP) and tax regulations (MUST HAVE);
Based in the Randstad area is recommended (Rotterdam-Den Haag-Amsterdam). (This is not a remote role).
