Tell a story with animation
Animation is a powerful tool for creating a narrative, conveying movement, and presenting your design in a more immersive, cinematic way. Through the use of dynamic camera movements, it can provide viewers with unique perspectives and allow them to explore spaces in ways that static images can’t.
You can show how a design evolves over time, illustrate how spaces are intended to be used, and foster deeper connections to the design in question.

Testing the boundaries of creativity
Konrad Wójcik is an architect and Lumion user who isn’t afraid to challenge convention. Drawing inspiration from pop culture and fantasy, he blends these ideas with modern and classical architecture to concoct something entirely unique. From a prefabricated cabin in Iceland to a glass bunker in the Dune universe, discover how he uses animation to break down his designs and demonstrate his creative process.
Architect designs his dream house
Discover how Konrad designed his dream home in the middle of nowhere—and at the mercy of the harsh Icelandic weather. Look out for his clever use of animated phasing to deconstruct the design process behind this innovative prefabricated residence.
Inside a transparent Glass Bunker
This imposing desert bunker is Dune universe-inspired. While this sci-fi world's architecture is somewhat uninspiring, Konrad took on the challenge of designing a building in which you can enjoy the scenery and remain shielded from sandstorms and heat.
Check out his dramatic use of animation at the end of the video when the stylish glass and stone bunker is unveiled.
Architecture in motion
Video renderings offer an easy way of immersing your clients in your design. By animating the people, cars, and other objects in a scene, you can breathe instant energy and life into it. With animated effects, even the wind speed and cloud direction can be carefully controlled to create a dynamic experience.
Aedas City
This collection of architectural projects designed by Aedas and visualized by BEEHIVE is known as Aedas City. Rendered in just one month, it’s the largest architectural visualization project ever made in Lumion.
BEEHIVE’s focus throughout the project was helping the audience fully understand the architect’s intention. To achieve this, the team focused on giving each individual image a “soul”, to bring the initial vision to life as a whole, in a simple, relatable visual format.
Shenzhen Airport East Hub Competition Scheme
This prize-winning visualization by BEEHIVE gives the audience a little bit of everything. It successfully demonstrates scale, includes clever compositions of both exterior and interior shots, and makes interesting use of materials, vegetation, and lighting throughout.
Humen High Speed Rail Station Expansion Project Master Plan
High-rise cities are meant to be seen from above. This Humen-based “station-city integration” project designed by Aedas was animated in Lumion by BEEHIVE.
The animation creates unique compositions and successfully communicates the city’s soul in a series of breathtaking shots. For large-scale projects like this, animation truly brings it to life.
Transsion Holdings Headquarter Building
The futuristic Transsion Holdings headquarters similarly needs to be appreciated from all angles.
Glass modules on different levels house public, leisure, and business hubs of contrasting scales and materials for a juxtaposing yet cohesive feel.
