Show your most captivating renders at this year's World Architecture Festival
Come and celebrate a year of excellence in architecture.
Join us in Singapore.
For more than 15 years, the World Architecture Festival has been bringing together 1000's of architects, designers and suppliers to celebrate and award excellence in the field of architecture. This year's edition will take place at the Marina Bay Sands hotel in Singapore, 29 November - 1 December.
The festival's theme this year is 'Catalyst', and delegates will have chance to gain insight and knowledge from 76 International speakers & presenters across two stages. The main focus of the World Architecture Festival is its prestigious awards program. The shortlisted finalists are invited to compete live at the festival, where they will present their projects to an esteemed judging panel.
In line with this year's theme, the WAFX Prize, will celebrate projects that best use design and architecture to tackle major world issues, including health, climate change, technology, ethics and values.
Alongside the main WAF award categories are a host of additional prizes awarded to projects that demonstrate excellence in a particular area. Lumion is proud to support the fourth-annual WAF 2023 Visualization Prize, and we are now accepting entries for this special prize.
As an architect, you have the power to shape the world around you. To take a simple idea and transform it into something extraordinary.
Architectural visualization eases this process by letting you look into the future and experience a design long before it exists. In doing so, you can ensure that it's as close to your vision as possible - that it evokes the desired emotion and tells just the right story.
Help us celebrate the invaluable role of visualization in the architect’s workflow and enter a project into this year's competition. Why not take this opportunity to showcase your talents and inspire others with your most captivating renders?
How to enter
The Visualization Prize is free to enter.
Your entry should be rendered in 3D, in the form of still images (a minimum of 3) or a video (up to 3 minutes in length).
Rendered visuals must show a future project or completed building.
Projects must be rendered in-house at an architectural practice or reflect a collaboration between a visualizer and the practice.
Judging criteria
The 2023 Visualization Prize will be live-judged by a panel of judges, selected by WAF and Lumion. Entries will be judged upon the:
Aesthetics. The judges are looking for a high degree of attractiveness and beauty. The render must be stylish and visually appealing.
Emotional. The render must make viewers “feel” something about the project. This could be joy, excitement, nostalgia, or any other emotion.
Technical. The quality and proficiency of the render itself. How do the colors look? Are there unwanted artifacts in the render? Do the camera movements feel natural?
Comparison. The project in the render must represent the original design with a high level of fidelity. The judges will compare the design with its depiction in the render.
Inspire us with the quality of your creations. Submit your entry today. Good luck!
