Faster results in fewer steps
Lumion Pro 2026.0 is here, and this update is all about helping you create faster. When deadlines are tight, the biggest delays often happen in the final stretch: adding context, cleaning up sections, organizing outputs, and preparing visuals to share with clients. This release is designed to make that part of the process smoother.

Get a head start
With 5 new example scenes and 7 new templates, Lumion Pro 2026.0 makes it easier to get started with common workflows and lighting setups. Each one gives you a ready-made foundation, so you can spend less time building from scratch and more time shaping the result you want.

Explore in context
The new example scenes are especially useful when you want to understand how tools, materials, and effects come together in a full environment. They make it easier to discover settings, test ideas, and see changes in context.
Take Lake House, for example: a secluded lakeside home set in a misty forest. It’s a useful way to learn how to build a foggy atmosphere with soft overcast lighting, while also exploring realistic water materials and 3D plan views.
Skip the setup
If you need to move quickly, the new scene templates can significantly cut down your setup time. Just place your model into an editable scene, make a few adjustments, and take it in your own direction.
Times of Day is a great example. This versatile interior and exterior template comes with preconfigured lighting for day, overcast, fog, golden hour, blue hour, and night, so you can explore different moods and present multiple lighting studies with minimal setup.
Build context at scale
For larger sites and outdoor scenes, filling empty space can quickly turn into repetitive work. Lumion Pro 2026.0 adds a new option that helps you cover more ground in less time, especially when you’re working across broad or irregular areas.
The new Area placement tool lets you fill large or irregular outdoor spaces with up to 5,000 nature items from 20 asset types in a single action. That means less time hand-placing vegetation across courtyards, site edges, terraces, and wider landscapes, and more time refining the parts of the scene that deserve closer attention.
This new tool allows you to:
select a surface or group of surfaces based on the assigned material.
define a region by adding nodes for more complex shapes and smoother edges.
control the density, weight, and collision of each item type.
use the fill surface option to quickly populate an area.
Bring in richer detail
When you’re aiming for a more natural, realistic environment, the right assets make a real difference. Lumion Pro 2026.0 expands the library with 73 new photogrammetric nature assets, 31 growth-stage trees, and 165 refreshed nature and urban favorites. This adds greater variety and more consistent detail, whether you are framing a wide exterior shot or working closer to the ground.

Keep your workflow moving
Small setup tasks have a way of interrupting momentum, especially when you are moving between CAD software and visualization. LiveSync now supports PBR material maps from SketchUp, Revit, and Archicad, helping reduce manual imports and making the model-to-render workflow feel more connected.

Create cleaner sections
When you need technical drawings and presentation visuals to work side by side, sections need to read clearly. The Fill-in Clipping Planes tool makes it easier to create cleaner section cuts directly in Lumion Pro. Sections, plans, and elevations are easier to understand, easier to present, and less dependent on post-processing in another tool.
Fill in clipped areas with a color of your choice.
If you prefer, you can fill sections with a PBR material that matches the rest of your structure. Here, the rotation gizmo is handy to switch between views, and it just got smarter, with integrated angle snapping, ensuring perfectly aligned placements every time.
Go bigger
When a visual needs to hold up in print or on a larger display, resolution matters. The improved AI Image Upscaler now offers better 2x accuracy using depth and normal maps, along with a new 4x option that can produce visuals up to 16K. For boards, posters, banners, and other large-format outputs, that means sharper results without adding unnecessary friction at the end of the process.

Show every angle
If you’re presenting a larger project, a few views are rarely enough to show how the whole design connects. Panorama capacity has increased from 10 to 300 slots per project, giving you much more room to capture key spaces across larger buildings, landscapes, and masterplans. It is a stronger setup for client tours, VR experiences, and presentations that need to tell a clear spatial story.

Stay organized as you share
When deliverables start piling up, even small admin steps can get in the way. You can now create folders in Lumion Cloud directly from Lumion Pro during upload, which makes it easier to keep outputs organized by phase, option, or audience from the start. For teams handling more iterations and more viewpoints, that reduces admin and makes sharing feel more straightforward.
