Why diagramming needed a rethink
Good communication has always been the real job behind architectural software, not just the visual polish of a finished render. Floor plans, blueprints, and diagrams do work that a rendered image can't, explaining the how and why behind a design.
The trouble is that diagramming has stayed stuck in a slow, destructive workflow: render a view, then rebuild it by hand in a separate graphics tool. Change the design, or just rotate the camera ten degrees, and the diagram falls apart with it.
That's the gap Axogram was built to close.
See Axogram in action
Follow along as Artur and David build a fully branded diagram live, from a single SketchUp model, walking through visual styles, Style Mixer, arrows, zones, and annotations along the way. It's the fastest way to see how a diagram stays connected to your model as the camera moves and the design changes.
Fun fact: Axogram's name combines axonometric, the camera angle common in architectural diagrams, with diagram itself, and nods to Archigram, the 1960s and 70s British group known for bold, colorful diagrammatic drawings. It's Lumion's tribute to that tradition, with a modern, connected workflow to match.
Try it out yourself
How it works inside your modeling software
Axogram runs as a plugin for SketchUp (Windows), Revit, and Archicad, with more compatibility on the way. It opens a dedicated real-time workspace next to your model, where you can set the time of day, choose a background, or add lighting to set the mood.
Visual styles give you a fast way to try different looks:
Realistic, for a refined, true-to-material view
Ink, which turns materials into a stylized, illustrative pattern
Soft Vibe, for a softer, more conceptual feel
Style Mixer lets you apply different styles to different materials in the same scene, so roads, trees, and buildings can each stand out without touching your original geometry. Think of it as a quick way to test a look or highlight specific elements.
Arrows, zones, and labels that move with your model
Text labels, callouts, zones, and arrows live directly in the 3D scene, not as overlays on a flat image. Rotate the camera and they stay anchored exactly where you placed them.
Arrows bend around corners and travel between levels
Zones highlight areas like a car park or entrance without cluttering the model
Labels carry your own icons, logos, and legends for a branded diagram
Render, enhance, and share
Render your diagram in 4K or Full HD, with or without a background for a transparent PNG. Lumion Cloud's AI enhancer can refine details, like swapping in more realistic trees, and a single click gives you a shareable link or QR code to collect feedback from clients and colleagues.
One file, no extra steps
Diagrams save directly inside your existing SketchUp, Revit, or Archicad file. There's no separate Axogram format to manage, so sharing a model means sharing every diagram built into it too.
Getting started is free
Axogram Free includes every feature shown here, including Lumion Cloud sharing and the AI enhancer, with the only limit being how many diagrams you can save at once. It's available now for SketchUp, Revit, and Archicad, with Rhino support in testing.
